Gary S. Greene
Concertmaster / Conductor

Gary S. Greene is an accomplished violinist and conductor. He joined the Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra of California in 1963 and since 1967 has served as concertmaster. In this capacity, he volunteers several hundred hours of time annually to work with young people in music. He visits schools throughout Southern California to introduce music to youth. Each year, he auditions several hundred young people between the ages of 12 and 25 for membership in the Jr. Philharmonic. Together with the orchestra’s founder-conductor, Dr. Ernst Katz, Mr. Greene manages and directs all aspects of this acclaimed young people’s symphony orchestra. Mr. Greene has conducted the orchestra in most major classical works as well as conducting popular pieces for legendary performers such as Debby Boone, Pat Boone, Kevin Early, Richard Fredricks, Robert Goulet, Peter Graves, Florence Henderson, Dale Kristin, Carol Lawrence, Brock Peters, Stefanie Powers, Debbie Reynolds, Jan and Mickey Rooney, Sha Na Na, Dick Van Dyke and Michael York.

Gary S. Greene, Esq., is also a trial attorney in Los Angeles, California with over thirty years in practice. He graduated from U.C.L.A., Summa cum Laude, in 1971, and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Loyola University Law School in 1975 with membership in the Saint Thomas More Legal Honor Society. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory has given Mr. Greene its highest rating for ability and ethics.

Since 1980, Mr. Greene has served as a Temporary Judge for the Small Claims and Superior Courts of the County of Los Angeles. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1980 upon motion made by former California Governor Edmund G. "Pat" Brown, Sr. Mr. Greene served as Chairman of the Speaker's Bureau of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, lectured for Continuing Legal Education and has been a guest lecturer aboard Princess Cruises.

Mr. Greene is also a partner in one of Los Angeles’ oldest continuing businesses, the Golden Gate Hat Company, founded by his grandfather in 1923. Mr. Greene is listed in Who's Who in California Business and Finance.
